Exclusive Fishing
Across Three Private Pools
Experience salmon fishing on the River Orkla across three private pools — Stasjonshølen, Kanalhølen and Skolehølen.
You will have exclusive access to one kilometre of river with fishing rights on both sides, giving you two kilometres of private riverbank entirely to yourselves.
Fish whenever you like, without rotation schedules or shared access. A small boat in the river also provides easy access to fishing from the opposite bank.
Each pool has its own riverside hut (“gapahuk”). The largest, located at Skolehølen, features a large indoor fireplace, wood-fired sauna and seating for up to eight guests.
Stasjonshølen
Stasjonshølen is located at the upper part of the fishing stretch, beginning near Svorkmo bridge. The pool is mainly fished from the western bank. Here, the river starts with faster flowing water before opening into a calm and steady pool.
The current moves gently through the bend, while the strongest flow runs along the stone embankment on the opposite side, where salmon often hold during normal and lower water levels.
Kanalhølen

Kanalhølen is situated in the middle section of the river, where the tributary Svorka flows into the pool. Fishing here is also primarily done from the western bank.
The river enters the pool through a beautiful flowing stretch before opening into a deep, wide and calm holding pool. This is an excellent fly-fishing area that performs well in both high and low water conditions.
Skolehølen
Skolehølen is located at the lower end of the fishing stretch. Here, the water flows into a narrow channel that is best fished from the eastern bank.
The pool is easy to fish and is known as a classic resting spot for large salmon. For more experienced anglers, the western side of Skolehølen can be especially rewarding. The break in the current is a place where salmon often pause on their way upstream. Skolehølen is also considered an excellent area for sea trout fishing.
